The Electoral Commission of Ghana, (EC), has introduced an online filling procedure for the 2020 general election.
This means Presidential and Parliamentary candidates for the December polls will no longer have to pick forms at the offices of the EC.
Chairperson, Jean Mensa, told Journalists at its “Let the Citizen Know”, series in Accra that the new procedure has become necessary due to the COVID -19 pandemic.
Madam Jean Mensa said the EC has so far captured more than 12 million voters onto the voters’ register.
She added the number of 18 and 19 year-olds registered so far makeup 17.7 percent of the grand total.
She explained that the mop-up will be done on a need basis and not at all centers across the country.
