Photo source: Facebook/Kofi TV Source: Facebook Following the news of Tommey’s shooting, many reports have emerged on social media suggesting that Ofori killed her because she was cheating on him and was already pregnant for their church’s choir director. But the family of Tommey has denied the reports of marital infidelity against the deceased are all not true because she never cheated on her husband.
According to Elizabeth Sophia Russell, an elder sister of Babara, Tommey who is in Ghana, the deceased was a responsible and virtuous woman who was not living an immoral life. In an interview with Kofi TV sighted by accraposts.com, on Facebook, Tommey’s elder sister explained that just like any other marriage, the couple had their troubles.
Fed up with her husband, Babara, decided to leave the five-year-old marriage and had even filed for divorce about three months ago. After filing for divorce which’s case is still pending in court because Ofori has refused to sign the papers to grant the divorce, Barbara left their matrimonial home to live with her mother. Just last week, Tommey went back to the house of Ofori to pick up some documents to be sent to the father of her elder sister’s children. Her appearance in the house caused Ofori to attack before the deceased’s brother intervened. Not long after the altercation, he followed Tommey to her workplace and shot her seven times after she refused to give him attention. For Russell, Ofori and her sister’s marriage broke up mainly because the pastor drifted into occultism and the deceased was not comfortable. “My sister is not promiscuous. She is somebody who respects herself, respects her husband and fears God. She never cheated on her husband,” Russell said. Meanwhile, a video from the wedding of Sylvester Ofori and Barbara Tommey has surfaced online. The video shows the bride and groom in the video that they were looking forward to a blissful marriage that would last a lifetime.
