Ghana continues to see the rampant rise of Land Guards taking over registered lands in this country and this is not different from a case on AMORC Ghana land where a section of the land was encroached by a terrorizing land guards operating around East Legon and it environs.
The Serene atmosphere of the temple of The Ancient Mystical Order Rosae Crucis (AMORC) have since the 70s been sitting quietly at 46 Kinshasa Street, Off the Mensah Wood Road, East Legon.
The temple have been a source of peaceful solution to many Ghanaians as well as foreigners from different creed. It’s existence in Ghana Dates back during the Colonial days.
Rosicrucian teaching was concerned about the dissemination and perpetuating of exoteric truth upon which man’s spiritual unfolding was dependent. With its purpose being to further the evolution of humanity through the development of the full potential of each individual in the spirit of service.
However, the serenity of the temple’s park was disturbed on Saturday.
A group of land guards numbering about twenty (20) scaled the walls of the Temple on Saturday July 4, 2020 at about 0800 hour. They threatened the life of the caretaker with death if he dared make a telephone call or shout.
They Surveyed the Temple’s Park with architectural equipments and scaled the wall again and left.
A case of the trespass was reported to the East Legon Police.
The Land guards again on Monday 6th July, 2020 came to the temple’s park and broke the walls. This time, they came with Cement blocks began constructing a wall separating the Serene park from the Temple Building.
When confronted, they claimed title to the age old park of the Rosicrucian Temple.
They dared anyone to call the police.
Meanwhile, Superintendent Kwame Gyasi Afari led East Legon Police has refused to act upon the criminal complain of Trespass and damage.
He rather advised the leadership of AMORC Ghana, to file civil case against the Land guards led by Kofi Adomako.
The encroachers have have been served with the injunctions, yet they are continuing with their Encroachment emboldened by the lack of action by Supt Gyasi Afari.
The inaction of the East Legon Police, gives credence to the Bragging of the Land guards. They were subsequent arrested by Police Officers from the Regional Division after the case has been reported to the regional division.
The situation and the loose talks of the Land guards is lowering the reputation of the East Legon Police in the eyes of the Public.
Ordinary citizens are wondering whether the Motto of the police is now Service to the Highest Bidder and not Service with Integrity
