Power outages are set to affect several communities in Accra East as the Electricity Company of Ghana (ECG) schedules a four-day maintenance exercise from Monday, August 10 to Thursday, August 13.
The exercise, which will result in temporary power outages between 9:00 am and 5:00 pm each day, is aimed at improving electricity service delivery in the affected areas.
First Phase of Maintenance Exercise
The first phase of the exercise will take place on Monday, August 10, with areas expected to experience an outage including Teiman, Oyarifa, Mr Smith, parts of Ogbodjo, Tsmasiwaa Hospital, Ability, and surrounding areas.
Residents in these areas can expect interruptions in electricity supply during the maintenance period.
Tuesday's Affected Areas
On Tuesday, August 11, maintenance works will affect customers from 9:00 am to 5:00 pm in Ashiyie, parts of Dodowa, Tobinco, Oasis Estate, Manet Junction, and surrounding areas.
These communities will also experience temporary power outages during the scheduled maintenance period.
Wednesday's Affected Areas
The third day of the exercise is scheduled for Wednesday, August 12, with the affected areas including parts of Labone, Agbogba Zongo, Adenta SDA, Tot-to-teen School, Top Herbal Clinic, parts of Madina, Libya Quarters, and surrounding areas.
Residents in these areas should expect interruptions in electricity supply during the maintenance period.
Final Day of Maintenance Exercise
On the final day, Thursday, August 13, the exercise will affect Achimota School and surrounding areas.
The scheduled maintenance period is again 9:00 am to 5:00 pm, and residents in these areas should expect temporary power outages during this time.
