On 2 June 2026, Bank of Ghana Second Deputy Governor Matilda Asante-Asiedu delivered a keynote speech at The Money Summit 2026 in Accra. She called for direct and continuous collaboration between the central bank, commercial financial institutions, and government agencies.

Her address focused on building a stronger financial sector that can withstand economic shocks and support national development. She told industry leaders in Accra that regulators and financial firms must work together to maintain order across the banking system.

The Money Summit gathered executives, state officials, and banking professionals to discuss economic strategy and financial regulation. Asante-Asiedu stated that institutional cooperation remains central to maintaining market discipline and protecting consumer interest.
