Emmanuel City claimed the inaugural Global Game Scouting Tournament title after defeating Teshie Football Academy 3-1 on penalties at the McDan Astro-turf in Labadi. The final ended 2-2 in regulation time, forcing a shootout that Emmanuel City won to lift the trophy.
The tournament, organised by Global Game Scouting Agency with UK-based ExcelsiorPro, gathered young players aiming to attract scouts, clubs, and football agencies. Emmanuel City reached the final after a tense semi-final penalty shootout victory over Arimark FC. Teshie Football Academy earned their spot with a strong competition run, setting up a competitive final.
Players were evaluated on technical, tactical, physical, and attitudinal criteria, with standout performers eligible for trial recommendations. The event attracted talent evaluators from Ghana, Europe, and across Africa, offering a platform for young footballers to make professional advances.
The competition also had digital and social media coverage, providing additional exposure for participants. Organisers intend the tournament to expand opportunities for Ghanaian and African players seeking professional football careers abroad.
Emmanuel City’s win caps the first edition of the tournament, with Teshie Football Academy finishing as runners-up after an intense and closely contested final at Labadi.
