Accra will host the second Loveworld Trade & Investment Forum (LTIF) on October 6 and 7, 2026, drawing over 2,500 entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and business leaders to discuss Africa’s trade and investment landscape. The event takes place at the Ohene Konadu Auditorium, University of Professional Studies (UPSA), with a focus on Production, Trade, Trust and Innovation.

The forum aims to address the practical challenges African businesses face when expanding beyond domestic markets. Topics on the agenda include production capacity, access to capital, market intelligence, pricing, standards, supply chains, cash flow management and cross-border trade regulations.

Organisers have lined up keynote sessions, policy discussions, investment forums, an exhibition, trade fair and business-to-business engagements. The event will also feature the Business Expansion Growth INitiative (BEGIN), a Ministry of Commerce programme designed to help companies become more structured, investment-ready and fundable.

The Accra edition follows the inaugural LTIF held in Lagos in November 2025, which gathered more than 1,500 participants and featured over 20 speakers. The organisers expect a broader West African attendance this time, with participants coming from across Ghana and the ECOWAS region.

Ghana’s selection as host city reflects its position as a gateway to West Africa and its role as the seat of the African Continental Free Trade Area Secretariat. The forum’s convener, the Ministry of Commerce and Loveworld Kingdom, emphasise that LTIF is not about offering a single solution to Africa’s trade issues. Instead, the platform is intended for stakeholders to exchange ideas, identify opportunities and forge commercial links.

Stephanie Oforka, Head of Commerce, Department of Commerce at Loveworld, described LTIF during the inaugural forum as “a catalytic marketplace for leaders and investors.” She said the platform was meant to create partnerships capable of transforming industries, communities and economies.

The 2026 forum will include structured B2B matchmaking sessions to facilitate partnerships and investment pitch sessions where selected ventures can engage potential capital sources. An exhibition and trade fair will offer businesses a chance to present products, services and innovations.

For entrepreneurs and SMEs, the focus will be on practical issues such as production capacity, market access, standards and supply chain management, alongside strategies for cross-border expansion. Investors will have an opportunity to explore emerging commercial prospects and engage with businesses. Policymakers and industry leaders will discuss frameworks and partnerships required to advance regional trade.

Registration for the free event is open through ltifevent.com. The forum begins with registration and exhibition tours from 9am, with sessions starting at 10am. Enquiries can be sent to ltifevent@lwcommerce.org.

LTIF is a flagship initiative of the Ministry of Commerce, Loveworld Kingdom. The forum convenes diverse stakeholders to discuss production, trade, investment and economic growth on the continent. The first edition in Lagos brought together entrepreneurs, investors, policymakers and business leaders, with the second edition expanding the conversation to a wider West African audience.

Accra’s role as host city reflects Ghana’s growing influence in regional commerce and its strategic location in Africa’s trade networks. The forum will test efforts to translate trade ambitions into concrete partnerships and investment opportunities.
