Ghanaian actress and TV Show Host, Nana Ama McBrown, has called on the management of Asante Kotoko SC to involve prominent personalities in the Ashanti Region in the club's activities and fan mobilisation efforts. McBrown, a well-known supporter of the Kumasi-based club, made the call on Luv Fm's DriveTime show.
McBrown's Plea to Asante Kotoko Management
McBrown believes that Asante Kotoko can greatly benefit from the involvement of influential personalities across the Ashanti Region if the club's management takes the initiative to engage them directly. Despite her role as brand ambassador of Hisense Ghana, a partner of Asante Kotoko, McBrown stressed that her willingness to contribute to the club goes beyond her role.
According to McBrown, the partnership between Hisense Ghana and Asante Kotoko has not involved the brand as much as she believes it could. "As a brand ambassador for Hisense Ghana, we already support Kotoko, but they haven't involved us a lot," she said. McBrown emphasized that any meaningful engagement must come directly from the club's management.

McBrown urged the management to create a platform that allows personalities in the region to contribute their influence toward the growth of the club. "So I am telling the management they should find a way to involve all personalities in the Ashanti Region, just as other clubs in their regions will do," she said. For McBrown, the relationship between Asante Kotoko and the people of Kumasi and the wider Ashanti Region is deeply rooted in identity and belonging.
