Nana B Inspects 85% Complete Tafo Hospital Children's Ward Ahead of Birthday
Tafo Government Hospital's 30-bed Children's Ward is nearing completion, with former National Organiser of the New Patriotic Party (NPP), Henry Nana Boakye, also known as Nana B, expressing optimism that the project will be finished before the end of the year.
Nana B made the announcement in a Facebook post ahead of his 45th birthday, reflecting on the journey that led to the construction of the facility. According to him, the initiative was inspired by the poor state of the existing children's ward at the Tafo Government Hospital, which had become a major concern for both the Ghana Health Service and residents of the area.
A Personal Commitment to Improve Healthcare
Five years ago, on the eve of his 40th birthday, Nana B made a personal commitment to God to facilitate the construction of a 30-bed Children's Ward. He explained that the hospital was chosen because of the urgent need to improve paediatric healthcare infrastructure.
The Tafo Government Hospital's existing Children's Ward was in a deplorable condition, posing a significant concern for the Ghana Health Service and the people of the region. Nana B described the commitment as one of the deepest desires of his heart, and he was determined to see it through.
Progress and Gratitude
Nana B recently visited the construction site and was encouraged by the progress made, noting that the project is now 85% complete. He expressed immense gratitude and pride each time he visits the site and sees the project nearing completion. As he prepares to celebrate his 45th birthday, Nana B said the completion and commissioning of the children's ward would be the greatest birthday present he could hope for.
