A Partnership for Progress: Why the ProMark–KPMG collaboration matters for Africa’s digital assets future

Ghana passed the Virtual Asset Service Providers Act, 2025 (Act 1154) to establish the legal foundation for the registration, licensing, and supervision of virtual asset businesses. The law marks a move from broad policy talk to a formal regulatory structure for virtual assets in the country.

The Bank of Ghana has also established a Virtual Assets Department to support regulation and oversight of participants in the virtual assets ecosystem.

These regulatory changes form the backdrop of a working partnership between event organiser ProMark Elite Limited and professional services firm KPMG.

The two companies are collaborating through the Digital Assets Summit Africa, known as DASA.
