Eighteen people sustained injuries after a passenger bus overturned at Adele-Kpoe on the Tema–Akosombo Highway on Wednesday, August 5. The accident occurred when a Mercedes-Benz bus with registration number AS 427-09 crashed while traveling from northern Ghana to Ashaiman.

Emergency responders extricated a passenger trapped inside the wreckage before all the injured were transported to the Akuse Government Hospital for medical treatment. The severity of the injuries has not been disclosed.
