A fire broke out at the girls' dormitory of Wa Islamic Senior High School in the Upper West Region, displacing 138 students. The blaze, which started in one of the dormitory houses, has left the students without a place to stay.

Firefighters Contain Blaze

Firefighters from the Ghana National Fire Service deployed two fire tenders to the scene, working to prevent the flames from spreading to adjoining sections of the dormitory block. Emergency responders managed to bring the fire under control, but six dormitories were affected in the process.

Investigation Launched

The cause of the fire remains unknown, with officials expected to begin investigations to determine what sparked the blaze.
