Campaign Team Involved in Dambai Accident

The campaign team of former Greater Accra Regional Minister Daniel Nii Kwartei Titus-Glover has been involved in an accident in the Oti Region while travelling to the five northern regions to continue its campaign ahead of the New Patriotic Party (NPP) National Executive elections. The incident occurred on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, between 12 noon and 1pm, a few minutes from Dambai.

According to a statement issued by the campaign’s Spokesperson and Communications Director, Ellen Ama Daaku, the security, operations, and communications team members were among those travelling with the campaign. The team was using a campaign operations pick-up, which was being driven by the Campaign Manager, when it crashed into the rear of a Toyota Tundra being used by the candidate during the campaign.

Campaign Members Treated and Discharged from Hospital

The collision caused significant damage to both vehicles, and the occupants of the two vehicles were subsequently rushed to the Dambai Government Hospital for medical attention. In a statement, Ms Daaku said all those involved in the accident were treated and discharged from the hospital and are doing well.

Campaign Remains Poised for Victory

Despite the incident, the campaign team remains optimistic about its chances in the NPP National Executive elections scheduled for October 3, 2026. Ms Daaku added that the incident had not dampened the campaign's spirit, stressing that “the morale in the campaign is high” and that the team remains “poised for victory.”

Campaign Team Travels to Five Northern Regions

The campaign team is currently travelling to the five northern regions to continue its campaign ahead of the NPP National Executive elections. The team's visit to the regions is part of its efforts to engage with party members and build support for the candidate.

The accident has brought attention to the team's campaign efforts, with many party members expressing support for the team on social media. The team's ability to bounce back from the incident will be crucial in determining its chances in the upcoming elections.

As the campaign team continues its journey to the five northern regions, it remains to be seen how the incident will impact its chances in the NPP National Executive elections.
