New Patriotic Party communications team member Kwasi Kwarteng says he does not trust the Office of the Special Prosecutor to investigate an alleged GH¢70,000 bribe linked to parliamentary vetting.

Speaking on Channel One TV on Saturday, September 5, Kwarteng voiced strong doubts about the anti-corruption agency's ability to conduct an independent probe into the controversy.

"No, I don’t trust OSP," Kwarteng said during the television broadcast.

"The current office, in this current form, in this current state, it’s not something that I have so much confidence in," he added.

His comments follow the decision by the Office of the Special Prosecutor to open a preliminary investigation into the alleged payment.
