Roads and Highways Minister Governs Kwame Agbodza told contractors in the Northern Region on Saturday, September 5, that nationwide site inspections are not designed to hunt down or punish builders. The exercise keeps projects moving forward and ensures contractors finish their work within agreed timelines.
Speaking during a working visit to the Northern Region as part of an ongoing tour, Mr Agbodza explained that regular visits to construction sites give the government a clear picture of actual progress. Seeing the work firsthand allows the ministry to identify specific obstacles affecting projects and determine where contractors require state assistance.
The minister noted that the physical visits have already created a positive response from builders across the country. Several construction firms have increased their work speed since the inspection team began visiting sites.
