Former Auditor-General Daniel Yaw Domelevo has told Chief Justice Paul Baffoe-Bonnie to stop commenting on political matters that could end up before the courts.
Speaking on Channel One TV on Saturday, September 5, Domelevo warned that public statements from the top of the Judiciary risk making the bench look biased.
His warning follows recent comments made by Chief Justice Baffoe-Bonnie during visits to several state-owned institutions.
During those visits, the Chief Justice praised the institutions for their performance under the current administration.
He also questioned what those same state-owned institutions had achieved over the previous eight years.
Domelevo said public officials who occupy sensitive constitutional positions must take extra care with their public statements.
