The Narcotics Control Commission arrested three suspects on 14 September 2026 for allegedly managing operations in Ghana for Dutch drug lord Jos Leijdekkers. The arrests followed a reported seizure by French customs of a cocaine shipment that originated from Ghana.
Commission officials now expect more arrests both within Ghana and across international borders as security agencies expand operations.
PNCO Francis Opoku Amoah, the Acting Director of Public Affairs and International Relations at the commission, confirmed the ongoing investigations during an appearance on TV3 Ghana Tonight on Monday, September 14.
“As we are talking, we know and we believe that there could be more arrests either locally or internationally even as we engage other partners and our sources,” Amoah said.
He said law enforcement officers are actively pursuing leads tied
