Moroccan referee Mustapha Kechchaf will oversee Ghana’s Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against The Gambia at the Accra Sports Stadium on Tuesday, September 29.
Kechchaf’s appointment places him at the centre of Group C action where Ghana will look to recover after a 2-0 loss to Ivory Coast in their opening qualifier. Lahsen Azgaou, also from Morocco, will assist as Assistant Referee I.
The officiating team includes two Tunisians: Yassine Saadaoui as Assistant Referee II and Amir Loucif as Fourth Official. Liberia’s Sekou Wieh Konneh has been named Match Commissioner for the encounter, while Nigerian official Abel Baba will act as Referee Assessor.
On the Ghanaian side, Danny Adotey will handle media operations as Broadcast Venue Manager.
Ghana’s defeat to Ivory Coast left them with a challenging task against The Gambia, who are also competing for a spot in the 2027 tournament. The match in Accra will be an opportunity for the Black Stars to regain momentum in the qualifiers.
