Ntiamoah Foundation launches “BEYOND 20” anniversary campaign

The Ntiamoah Foundation has invested more than GH¢23 million since 2006 in education, health, and community development across Birim North and Birim South Districts in Ghana’s Eastern Region. Its work has touched 34 schools, nearly 6,500 young readers, and over 8,000 girls through menstrual health programmes, while supporting 436 surgeries and strengthening 14 community health facilities.

The foundation’s Executive Director, Mercy Quansah-Ansah, launched BEYOND 20: From Impact to Legacy, a year-long campaign to mark two decades of these interventions and set a new vision for the future. “Twenty years gives us much to celebrate, but BEYOND 20 is also about asking what we can put in place today that will still be changing lives twenty years from now,” she said. “For us, that is the shift from impact to legacy: creating opportunities today that can continue to transform lives for generations to come.”

Founded by entrepreneur Robert Kwaku Appiah Asante in 2006, the Ntiamoah Foundation has focused on early childhood literacy, reading clubs, libraries, ICT education, scholarships, and maternal health support. The anniversary campaign launches a redesigned website and a new visual identity to share impact stories, programme updates, and ways for individuals and organisations to contribute.

The campaign introduces three flagship initiatives. Programme B.E.A.M. will unify literacy, life skills, digital learning, leadership, and community support into a single education model. It builds on two decades of investments in reading clubs, libraries, and ICT education.

The R.K.A. Asante Scholarship Scheme, named after the founder, will offer scholarships combined with mentorship, leadership development, professional growth, and community service. To launch the scheme, the foundation will award twenty scholarships to the first cohort of scholars, named the 20 for 20 Awards.

The Legacy Project will invest in community spaces and infrastructure, including three multipurpose community centres aimed at youth development, healthy lifestyles, and community connection. The project will also create spaces to preserve local history and heritage and support learning and leadership.

Dr Kojo Pumpuni Asante, chair of the foundation’s board, said the future would depend on a broad network of partners. “Ntiamoah’s journey has always been built on partnership,” he said. “As we look beyond twenty, we invite individuals, institutions and organisations who share our belief in the power of education and health to join us. The next chapter is about multiplying opportunity and building something that future generations can inherit and build upon.”

Zijin Golden Ridge Limited, a long-standing partner, expressed support for the milestone. Derek Boateng, Senior Manager for Sustainability and External Relations, said, “Over the years, we have witnessed Ntiamoah Foundation’s commitment to improving educational outcomes, strengthening healthcare delivery and creating opportunities for vulnerable communities. Its impact can be seen not only in the projects delivered, but in the lives transformed. We congratulate the Foundation on twenty years of service and look forward to continuing our partnership.”

BEYOND 20 will spotlight the people and communities involved in the foundation’s work while mobilising resources for its new initiatives. The campaign will conclude with a Fundraising Gala Dinner and Thanksgiving Service in December, inviting partners, donors, community leaders, and beneficiaries to support the foundation’s future.

The Ntiamoah Foundation’s next chapter begins with a renewed focus on infrastructure and leadership, aiming to leave a legacy that extends far beyond its initial impact.
