Multimedia Group wins Media Organisation of the Year award at the 2025 CIMG Awards

The Multimedia Group Limited was named Marketing-Oriented Media Organisation of the Year for 2025 at the 37th Annual National Marketing Performance Awards. The ceremony took place on Saturday, October 17, 2026, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra, organised by the Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG).

CIMG presented the award to Multimedia Group in recognition of its use of radio, television, and digital platforms to drive public engagement and audience participation. The institute’s citation praised the Group for turning audience attention into public conversation and participation, referencing initiatives such as the JoyNews Impact Maker Awards.

“The Multimedia Group has used its radio, television and digital platforms to turn audience attention into public conversation and participation,” the citation read. It added that the Group’s efforts demonstrated “the value of strong editorial brands supported by coordinated marketing.”

The citation also included reported audience shares for 2025: television at 28 per cent, Accra radio at 46.9 per cent, and Kumasi radio at 43.2 per cent. These figures reflect the Group’s reach across multiple media channels.

CIMG noted the scale of the 2026 JoyNews Impact Maker Awards, which drew about 2,000 attendees and 34 corporate participants. The institute said the Group’s marketing approach extended beyond broadcasting to creating platforms where audiences could gather, contribute, and share experiences.

“The marketing achievement extends beyond broadcasting a message. By giving your audience a reason to gather, contribute and share stories, the Group turns its media properties into platforms for participation,” the citation stated. The Impact Maker event served as an example of how editorial trust supports experiences that deliver value to communities and partners.

In its concluding remarks, CIMG commended the Group’s performance and its position in Ghana’s media industry. “Your continuous exploit in this arena sets you apart as a media house of choice,” the citation said.

Multimedia Group operates a range of radio, television, and digital brands in Ghana, including Joy 99.7 FM, JoyNews, Adom FM, Hitz FM, Asempa FM, Luv FM, Nhyira FM, and MyJoyOnline.com. The award recognises the Group’s marketing performance and its use of established brands and audience-focused initiatives to strengthen public engagement.

The ceremony at Labadi Beach Hotel gathered marketing professionals and media executives, reflecting the importance of audience interaction in Ghana’s media landscape. The Multimedia Group’s approach to turning media outlets into platforms for participation marks a notable development in how media organisations engage their audiences.

The 37th Annual National Marketing Performance Awards continue to set benchmarks for marketing excellence in Ghana, with the Multimedia Group’s win signalling the impact of integrated media strategies on public discourse and brand engagement across the country.
