Abena Amoah, Managing Director of the Ghana Stock Exchange, won the 2025 Marketing Woman of the Year award at the 37th Annual National Marketing Performance Awards held on October 17, 2026, at the Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra. The Chartered Institute of Marketing, Ghana (CIMG) presented the award in recognition of her contributions to marketing and leadership within Ghana’s financial sector.

The ceremony forms part of the CIMG’s annual event to honour outstanding achievements in Ghana’s marketing industry. Amoah’s win places her among a select group of professionals acknowledged for advancing business development through marketing.

Salem Kalmoni, Managing Director of Japan Motors, took the Marketing Man of the Year title. Mavis Frimpong, who heads Corporate Communications, Marketing and Brands at Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited, received the Marketing Practitioner of the Year award. The Marketing Student of the Year award went to Thomasina Tetey, Import Sales Manager at MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company.

The awards attracted various industry professionals and organisations. They recognise performance in marketing and its impact on organisational growth and consumer engagement. The event underlines the commercial significance marketing holds across sectors in Ghana.

The Ghana Stock Exchange has been expanding its visibility and investor engagement, with Amoah’s leadership often noted in financial circles. Her award from CIMG adds a layer of recognition from marketing peers beyond the financial sector.

Other winners at the event indicate a spread of marketing expertise across automotive, banking, and shipping industries. Japan Motors and Consolidated Bank Ghana Limited are major players in their fields, and MSC Mediterranean Shipping Company operates in a vital global trade sector.

The ceremony’s timing in late 2026 reflects the institute’s retrospective approach, awarding achievements from the previous year. The 37th edition of the National Marketing Performance Awards continues a tradition of spotlighting the business side of marketing in Ghana.

The presence of industry leaders like Amoah and Kalmoni at the gala suggests marketing remains a strategic focus for Ghanaian companies aiming to boost profiles and market share amid competitive pressures.

The awards do not only celebrate individual achievement but also bring together the marketing community to discuss trends and challenges. The event’s location at Labadi Beach Hotel in Accra is a regular choice for major industry gatherings.

Abena Amoah’s award for the 2025 Marketing Woman of the Year adds to her profile as a prominent figure in Ghana’s economic landscape, blending financial sector leadership with marketing acumen.
