"I'm going to petition the Speaker of Parliament if Afenyo-Markin does not retract… How can you tell me in front of everybody that I am a nobody?" Jantuah said. She argued that the Minority Leader should have respected the authority of the President, who assigned her to receive the petition on behalf of the presidency.

Jantuah also defended her professional background, insisting that Afenyo-Markin had no basis to diminish her contributions. "You don't even know me. I give you a lot of respect when I see you, but you don't want to give respect," she said. "I didn't open my mouth because I was standing there in the stead of the President of the Republic of Ghana," she added. Jantuah emphasized that public officials should maintain respect in political engagements, particularly when interacting with women.
