Ghana spent more than 780 million cedis on COVID-19 fumigation during the pandemic, but major details about that money were left out of the Auditor-General's special audit report.
The Member of Parliament for Akwatia, Bernard Bediako Baidoo, raised the issue during an appearance on JoyNews' Newsfile on Saturday.
He said the omission creates serious doubts about whether government officials properly audited the expenditure before presenting their findings to Parliament.
"This is a serious matter," Bediako Baidoo said during the broadcast. "The Auditor General would have to answer questions. If it was a mistake, you should come and say it, and then we’ll find out how come such an issue was a mistake."
