Ghana traded GH¢174.6 billion worth of goods between January and March 2026, according to trade data from the Ghana Statistical Service.

Gold exports accounted for GH¢63.7 billion of that total during the three-month period.

The total trade figure of GH¢174.6 billion equals US$16.1 billion at prevailing exchange rates.

First quarter trade volume

The Ghana Statistical Service recorded total international trade activity across all entry and exit points in the country for the first quarter of 2026.

Gold earnings made up a major portion of total exports, bringing in GH¢63.7 billion between January 1 and March 31.

The overall trade value of GH¢174.6 billion
