President John Mahama says state funds must not be spent on the National Cathedral project, insisting that Christians across Ghana should complete the building through individual contributions of GH¢1,000 each.
The proposal addresses ongoing public concern over the use of state money for a religious project. Mahama stated that private donations from church members are the proper avenue to finance the construction rather than drawing from public coffers.
