The Joy FM Back to School Discount Fair returns to Accra on September 4 and September 5, 2026.
The two-day shopping event will take place at the Joy FM Car Park in Kokomlemle. Doors will open at 8am and close at 8pm on both days of the fair.
Organisers designed the event to bring school products, special offers, vendors, and family activities into one location ahead of the new academic year. Parents, guardians, students, and families are invited to use the opportunity to stock up on essential items before schools reopen.
Compu Ghana is sponsoring the 2026 fair. The technology retail company is supporting the event under its brand promise, "Passion for technology."
Shoppers at the Kokomlemle venue will find a wide range of items needed for the upcoming school term. Vendors will sell school bags, shoes, stationery, books, and learning materials.
The sales stalls will also stock uniforms, lunch boxes, water bottles, clothing, and accessories. Other school-related essentials will be available across the two days.
Along with retail stalls, the event features entertainment and activities for visiting families. Organisers planned the additions to make the fair more than just a shopping trip.
For parents in Accra, buying school supplies at a single location is intended to reduce stress. Moving across different parts of the city to find individual items often creates difficulty for families.
Parents who attended previous editions of the fair said the central location saved them from travelling around Accra in search of school supplies for their children.
The discount fair is a longstanding initiative run by Joy FM. For more than ten years, the station has used the event to connect parents and students with vendors and service providers in the education sector.
