"Let us move from remittances to investment, from investment to enterprise, and from enterprise to generational wealth," Joyce Bawah Mogtari wrote in a post published on Facebook yesterday.

The Senior Presidential Advisor to President John Dramani Mahama made the statement following her participation in the EVE Women’s Forum USA.

Speaking under the theme “Legacy and Longevity: Women Building Wealth and Health Across the Diaspora,” Bawah Mogtari addressed Ghanaian women living abroad on how to convert individual financial contributions into long-term economic structures.

For decades, Ghanaians living in foreign countries have sent money home to cover immediate family expenses, pay school fees, build personal houses, and manage medical bills.
