Kow Essuman gives Finance Minister Sept. 11 deadline over unpaid salary

Kow Abaka Essuman, the former Legal Counsel to the President, has given Finance Minister Dr Cassiel Ato Forson until Friday, September 11, 2026, to pay his outstanding salary arrears and end-of-service benefits.

The ultimatum was delivered through a formal demand letter sent by Essuman’s lawyers at Vint & Aletheia Attorneys & Consultants.

The law firm warned that if the government fails to clear the debt by the deadline, Essuman will take legal action against the state in court.

Essuman served as Legal Counsel to former President Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo for four years.

His tenure in the role began in January 2021 and concluded on January 7, 2025, when the administration
