The highway connecting Accra to Kumasi serves as a main commercial artery for Ghana. It carries agricultural produce, factory goods, traders, and logistics operators between the national capital and the Ashanti region.
Upgrading this travel corridor directly affects national productivity, transport expenses, regional trade, and market access for rural farmers. Lower transit times cut down fuel costs and vehicle repairs for local transport businesses.
