On September 9, employees from energy company Karpowership sat alongside pupils at Essipong STMA Basic School in Sekondi-Takoradi for an interactive session focused on storytelling, reading, and building a strong reading culture from an early age.
The engagement coincided with International Literacy Day as children across the school settled into the start of a new academic year.
Pupils ranging from pre-school to upper primary participated in the day's activities, which included interactive storytelling, reading exercises, and colouring.
Karpowership ran the event under its campaign theme, “Light Up! Read to Lead – Powering Young Minds for a Brighter Tomorrow.”
During the session, company workers led reading exercises designed to encourage pupils to see books as a path to knowledge, imagination,
