Nana Konadu, representing the Bono Region, won the Star Performer award on the Week 10 episode of Ghana’s Most Beautiful (GMB) 2026 during the One Africa night. She took viewers to Côte d’Ivoire, tracing its history, culture, food, cocoa, and tourism while drawing attention to the shared Akan heritage between Ghana and Côte d’Ivoire.
Her presentation told the story of Queen Abla Pokou, a legendary figure in Ivorian history, and celebrated the country’s football culture and the energy of Coupé-Décalé music. The performance earned her the top accolade for the evening, distinguishing her among eight contestants who each represented different African countries.
The One Africa night featured participants from Cameroon, South Africa, Senegal, Kenya, Nigeria, Côte d’Ivoire, Liberia, and Egypt. Each contestant used dance, storytelling, and costume to explore their assigned country’s history, culture, traditions, music, and identity under the theme “One Africa.” The episode gave viewers a chance to see the continent’s diversity and the links between different African cultures.
Ayinboma, from the Upper East Region, won the Most Eloquent award for her presentation on Liberia. She focused on Liberia’s history and symbolism, as well as its connections to Ghana and its place in the broader African story.
Arhinmaa of the Western Region earned the Best Costume award for her portrayal of Egypt. Her presentation went beyond the usual pyramids and Cleopatra, exploring ancient Kemet, the Nile, Nubian culture, Khan el-Khalili, Siwa Oasis, and the White Desert.
Lamiley from the Greater Accra Region was named Kivo Woman of the Week. This award recognises discipline, punctuality, leadership, respect for house rules, positive attitude, teamwork, and how well a contestant interacts with others in the GMB house.
The episode also saw the eviction of Besiwaa, representing the Central Region. She left the competition after finishing at the bottom of the standings based on her scores.
With seven contestants remaining, the competition is intensifying as the women continue to compete for the crown, cash prize, car, and bragging rights. The One Africa night brought a cultural richness to the contest, reflecting the connections and differences across the continent through the lens of Ghana’s Most Beautiful pageant.
